Wednesday, 16 September 2026, Wallum Lake from the Cake Shop (Millbury)

31 miles, 10:00 am start from Millbury, MA
Riders (3): Ellen, Ray Obin, and Tom Allen.
Beautiful day for a ride, ideal temperatures, plenty of sunshine. We started in Millbury at the Cake Shop and headed south through Sutton on our way to Douglas State Forest where we took a break at Wallum lake for restrooms and water refills. We returned through Douglas and Sutton centers and took another short break at the giant chair, just before ending back in Millbury.
Our small group stayed together pretty much the whole ride. Lots of water views by Singletary Pond, Manchaug Pond, Wallum Lake, and others. Very low traffic. We enjoyed post-ride sandwiches at the Cake Shop on their outdoor patio. The leader thanks Tom and Ray for making the trip out to Millbury. Very enjoyable companionship.
